DWF’s – Freedom & Mobility

For those of you who seem to always be on the run and can’t always find the time to pull out your laptop, find a wireless signal and wait for AutoCAD to open your CAD files, I have come across a neat feature of Autodesk’s Project Freewheel along with a few minor downfalls.

Clark County APN Utilities

Clark County Nevada APN Utilities

Over the years, while I have been drafting I have wanted to have an easy way to quickly and easily access information that is connected to the APN (Assessor’s Parcel Number) from within CAD. As a result of this, I have come up with the Clark County Nevada APN Utilities. This little program is aimed at making it easier for drafter to access parcel information from text entities within AutoCAD. All features use the default Internet browser to obtain information. Below is a list of features:

  • Quickly open an APN map from the Clark County Assessor’s Office just by selecting text, along with
  • Soils maps
  • Expanded soil maps
  • Perform parcel document searches
  • Obtain parcel information (From Clark County OpenWeb Info Mapper)
  • Obtain parcel aerial imagery (From Clark County OpenWeb Info Mapper)
  • Obtain extended parcel data from the county assessor
  • Perform flood zone inquiries using the FloodView Advanced as provided by the Clark County Regional Flood Control District Read the rest of this entry »

Extended Parcel Area Report

The items that I needed were a total parcel count, total parcel coverage, minimum parcel size and name (parcel with least area), maximum parcel size and name (parcel with greatest area), and average parcel size for the project.
